What is Fun Club?
Fun Club is a licensed child care center offering a preschool program, after-school care for elementary students and drop-in babysitting service for children ages 2-12.

Is Fun Club licensed?
Yes, Fun Club is a licensed child care center registered with the Department of Children and Families. You can view our license at www.myflorida.com/childcare.

What qualifications and screenings are required for Fun Club staff?
All Fun Club employees undergo a level 2 background screening. The lead teachers at Fun Club also have a Child Development Associate credential or equivalent training.

My child attends a different preschool; may I use your babysitting service?
Yes, all children ages 2-12 may come to Fun Club for drop-off services, regardless of their school or preschool.

Are any documents required for the babysitting services?
Yes, all children ages 2-5 must show proof of immunization: Form DH680 from HRS, often called a 'blue card' or a yellow form from your health-care provider. If you have do not have an original copy, your doctor's office can send us the information via fax. School-age children do not need to bring in HRS forms as long as their school has it on file. Do you offer a discount for siblings?
Yes, we give a 10 percent discount to families with more than 1 child attending a Fun Club program.

Do you have an after-school program?
Yes, we have a room designated for after-school care for children ages 5-12. This room has age-appropriate activities for children to learn through play and to develop friendships with peers. Tutoring also is available by appointment.

Do you have transportation from elementary schools?
Although we do not have our own transportation from elementary schools, we have contract rates with the shuttles that serve the following schools:
Ludlam Elementary
Kendale Elementary
Kenwood Elementary
Pinecrest Elementary

Do “anytime hours” expire?
No, they do not. Anytime Hours are yours to use whenever you want. However, spaces are limited so we suggest making reservations on busy days.

Are hourly kids separated from monthly kids?
Not usually. Hourly kids join a group within their age-range. We use the buddy system, which pairs an Hourly Child with a Monthly child. Becoming friends with children who attend Fun Club on a regular basis helps them adjust easier. For Monthly kids, it helps them develop leadership skills.

At times when we have large amounts of Hourly kids (like in the weekends), groups may consist of only Hourly children.

Are children in the afterschool care program required to do homework? I would like to do homework with my child at home.

Children are given an hour to do homework. If the parent prefers for the child not to do homework during that time, please let us know and they will be allowed to use that time for a quiet activity such as reading, listening to music (with earphones), or using the computer. content include
